Getting started
Ohlow pages are documents made of elements. You arrange them on a canvas, give them motion and behaviour, and publish to ohlow.lol/yourname. Nothing on a page is mandatory: no avatar slot, no card, no layout.
Your first page in nine steps
- Create an account and claim a username.
- Start from a blank canvas or a template.
- Press
I(or the Insert tab) and add a Text element. Double-click it to type. - Add an Avatar and a Social icons element. Paste links; platforms are detected automatically.
- Drag things around. Hold
Shiftto lock an axis; pink guides snap edges and centres. - Switch to the phone icon in the top bar to adjust the mobile layout. Changes there only affect mobile.
- Open Preview to try it at real device widths.
- Press Publish.
- Open your live URL.
Core ideas
Experience modes
A page is a list of scenes. The mode decides how scenes are presented: Website stacks them as scrolling sections, Canvas shows one full-screen composition, Scenes shows one at a time with transitions, Desktop adds window behaviour. Change it any time in the Page tab.
Layout
Frames lay out their children in one of three ways: Free (absolute positions), Stack (rows or columns with gap and padding) or Grid. Free children use constraints: pin to the left, right, centre, stretch, or scale with the parent. That's how one design adapts from a 1280px laptop to a 2560px monitor.
Breakpoints
Desktop is the base design. Tablet overrides desktop, mobile overrides tablet. A green dot in the inspector marks values changed for the current breakpoint; click it to reset.
Theme tokens & moods
Colours can reference tokens like $accent. Moods are alternate token sets. Visitors switch with a Mood switch, or a mood activates on a schedule in the visitor's local time.
Signal
Your Signal is a short live status edited from the dashboard. Signal widgets show it immediately, no republish needed.
