Editor guide

The editor has four regions: the library on the left (Layers, Insert, Scenes, Media), the canvas, the inspector on the right (Design, Motion, Interact, Page), and an optional timeline below the canvas.

Selecting

Clicking selects the top-level element under the pointer. Double-click a group to go inside it; Esc goes back out. Drag on empty canvas to select by marquee. Locked elements can't be selected on the canvas, only in Layers.

Moving, resizing, rotating

Drag to move. Pink guides appear when edges or centres line up with siblings or the parent. Drop an element onto a frame to move it inside. In stacks and grids, dragging reorders instead. Eight handles resize (Shift keeps proportions, Alt resizes from the centre); the round handle above rotates (Shift snaps to 15°). Drag the bar under the artboard to change the scene height for the current breakpoint.

Responsive design

Pick a breakpoint in the top bar. Anything you change while on Tablet or Mobile is stored as an override and never touches the desktop design. You can also hide elements per breakpoint in Visibility.

Reusable components

Select something and choose Save as component at the bottom of the Design tab. It appears under Insert → Saved components for every page.

Health meter

The gauge in the top bar scores the page for performance, accessibility, mobile layout and SEO, lists concrete problems and selects the elements involved.

Saving and publishing

Drafts autosave about a second after you stop. Offline edits stay in the editor and save when you reconnect. Publishing snapshots the draft into version history; you can restore any version from page settings.
